Epson 2200
The Epson printer 2200 is a color DeskJet printer with many functions. The functions are Color printing, color copying, color scanning, color faxing, black-and-white printing, black-and-white copying, black-and-white scanning, and black-and-white faxing. The printer is a normal printer weighing in at 25.7 lbs., it is rather compact at 24.3 x 34.1 x 15.4 in but performs rather well for its little size compared to the old printers that all are pretty much used to. This Epson 2200 printer would be a great addition to any home office or student that needs minimum pages per month 25,000 black and 10,000 color pages printed. Epson has come through in the printer genre with flying colors.
The Epson 2200 can print in color and black at up to 2880 x 1440 optimized dpi color. Dpi means Dots Per Inch; this refers to the quality of imagery or words that appear on the page. The variance on ppm (pages per minute) between a high quality page and normal does vary for this Epson 2200 printer. The Epson 2200 printer is not designed for network printing which means that this printer is not capable of being used as a network and personal printer with the ability to connect to Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and FireWire® (IEEE 1394) and parallel that can do wonders to color or photo printing. For a personal printer, this price is relatively cheap for the quality, however it is important to know that if any printer is used out of its scope or design, it will not be as effective as one would expect. So just remember that each printer has its function and to use it within that function. The Epson 2200 will not let any home office or student or novice photographer down by any means.
