HP 1020
The Hewlett-Packard printer 1020 is a color laser jet printer with many functions. The printer is a not the normal desktop printer weighing in at 11.0 lbs. It is rather large 14.6 x 14.2 x 8.2 in (HxWxD) in but performs rather well for its little size compared to the old printers that all are pretty much used to. This HP 1020 printer would be a great addition to any small office that needs moderate pages per month 5000 pages printed. HP has come through in the printer genre with flying colors.
The HP 1020 can print in color and black at 600x600 dpi. Dpi means Dots Per Inch; this refers to the quality of imagery or words that appear on the page. The variance on ppm (pages per minute) between a high quality page and normal doesn’t vary for this HP 1020 printer. This printer operates at 15ppm for black print. This HP 1020 printer has a standard 1 tray. The HP 1020 printer can hold 150 pages for print with a max storage 150, and is able to use many forms of printing stock. Some media input types of paper (plain, letterhead, pre-punched, bond, color, rough, preprinted, recycled), HP laser transparencies, labels, envelopes, and cardstock.
The HP 1020 printer is mainly not designed for network printing which means that this printer is not capable being used on cat5 network or with the prerequisites needed in place, it does have a USB port for individual printing however for wireless networks, there will needed extra equipment. For a small office printer this may not be the ultimate choice however, this price is relatively cheap for the quality, however it is important to know that if any printer is used out of its scope or design, it will not be as effective as one would hope. So just remember that each printer has functions and specifications that it works best in. And in order to ensure you will not compromise quality, it is best to use it for those functions. The HP 1020 will not let any small sized office or work space down by any means.
