The Hewlett-Packard printer 1600 is a color laser jet printer with many functions and is the older model to the 2600N. The printer is a not the normal desktop printer weighing in at 40.5lbs. The HP 1600 printer is mainly designed for network printing which means that this printer is capable being used on cat5 network with prerequisites needed in place or a USB port for individual printing however for wireless networks, there will needed extra equipment. For a network printer this may not be the ultimate choice however, this price is relatively cheap for the quality, however it is important to know that if any printer is used out of its scope or design, it will not be as effective as one would expect. So just remember that each printer has its function and to use it within that function. The HP 1600 will not let any small sized office or work space down by any means.
